Rub seasonings on 1.5-2 inch prime steak |
Roast steak in oven at 250F until steak reads 95F, approximately 15 min |
Before steak comes out of oven, heat cast iron pan with some oil under high heat |
Add steak, aromatics and butter and sear each side for about 45 sec to create a crust, press steak for even sear |
Spoon butter onto steak with other aromatics |
Use tongs to sear the edges |
Serve right away |
